New social initiatives center!
Activists of many Cracow's informal groups meet in pubs, homes and sometimes even in the open air. Our city still lacks a space for grassroots social initiatives.
It's time for a change!
Many times we've seen social initiatives that were unable to grow because of this lack of space. Constantly being without own space makes it very hard to have any continuity in operating. It's horribly difficult to provide legal aid for tenants in a pub or to carry out educational activities in private homes. Unfortunately for many years that has been the case for a lot of grassroots initiatives in our city.
Our association brings together people that are active for years now in bottom up projects. We work together with tenant and bicycle movements, youth groups, we're engaged in the participatory budget. We know the reality of activism in "homeless" initiatives from our very own experience. In a city of almost one million there's no activist infopoint!
We want to change it but it's going to be difficult without your support. We decided that for a purchase of a new place where we could realize our association's goals everybody has to chip in!
